Green Skills for a Sustainable Future
Student Course

Course Description

This short course provides senior undergraduates, recent graduates, and graduate students with a comprehensive understanding of green skills essential for future job markets, particularly in the Global South, where the impacts of climate change are most severe. Through participation in case studies, real-world projects, hands-on exercises, and fieldwork, learners will gain practical experience in applying green skills to develop and implement transformative climate solutions in vulnerable areas. The course aims to create a platform for high-quality climate action, equipping learners with the necessary skills to lead or contribute to climate solutions as they embark on careers in INGOs, NGOs, industries, educational, and research institutions.​​

Aim of the Course

To educate future workforce with market-driven green skills to advance locally-led sustainable climate solutions

Course Learning Objectives

  1. To recognize the impacts of climate change on environment and sustainability

  2. To comprehend and apply demand-driven green skills

  3. To analyze and evaluate locally-led climate actions in the local southern context

Assessment

The assessment procedure will include quizzes, essays, group presentations and a self-reflection at the end of every session where the learner will rate the specific skill acquired.
