Stakeholder mapping and engagement in climate resilience (the SRP)

Throughout this module, I've found stakeholder mapping grids—like the power/interest matrix we used for the Sundarbans case—most effective for identification and mapping. They quickly reveal who holds decision-making power versus who bears the most risk, helping prioritize engagement without overlooking voices like local communities.

Negotiation and communication skills are crucial for managing conflicts, as they turn zero-sum disputes (e.g., donors prioritizing efficiency vs. communities demanding consultation) into win-win outcomes through active listening and reframing shared goals, such as long-term resilience.
