Flood-Resilient Housing Project for Northern Bangladesh

General Adaptation Goal: Strengthen the resilience of rural communities in northern Bangladesh against recurrent flooding.

The project seeks to build 50 elevated, flood-resistant houses along with two communal flood shelters in the flood-prone areas of northern Bangladesh, using locally sourced materials and labor. This initiative is expected to reduce annual household losses from flooding by a minimum of 30%. The project is planned to be fully completed by December 2026, ensuring timely delivery of resilient housing and safe community spaces.
