Climate vulnerabilities - Bangaladesh

The 3 districts have common climate vulnerabilities such as coastal flooding, heatwaves, cyclones, storms and salinity intrusion.

All the climatic conditions poses compounding impacts to the people living in these districts. While livelihoods, shelter and health impacts are evident, there are a lot of concerns affecting social and economic aspects of women including girls whose safety is of great concern and boys involved in drug and alcohol abuse.

It is highlighted that the government poses restrictions without providing alternatives support to the affected communities.

Communities such as those in Cox's Bazar bear the burden of hosting Rohinya refugees leading over concentration within the camps and resource scarce..
