Loss and Damage outcomes at COPs

COP 25

The Loss and Damage outcome was very dissatisfied. The developed nations indeed refused to commit to a consensus during COP 25 but the least developed countries and of course the most affected also refuse to commit to decision to initiate the process using available local structures. 'Charity they say begins at home'

COP 26

The outcome was very dissatisfied. Again parties during this conference were unable to reach a consensus. Affected nations needed to take pragmatic action to confront the situation because damages were increasing in magnitude by each day of no decisive action taken.

COP27

The out was dissatisfied. Indeed the loss and damage fund was established but I believe the parties commitment were insufficient considering the fact that there was no dedicated lodgments of funds vis a vis the delays in taking such a significant decision

COP 28

The outcome of this conference was dissatisfied. Considering the annual cost of loss and damages as a result of climate crisis and of course the delays in setting up such a fund, the dedicated amount was woefully inadequate to suffice the situation at the time.

COP 29

I am again dissatisfied at the outcome simply because the amount dedicated was still woefully insufficient.
