Discussion Forum over my Community Livelihood

In my community which depends on fishing and herding activities but rely mostly in fishing of prohibited fish size as a source of income.

Most of the residents like buying these small fish because they are cheaper and can fit for a larger family than big one which is expensive to them. The Government is trying to control the species but the local plays hide and seek game.

One of the NGOs intervene and tried to help the local through construction of Fishpond and training them on the benefits of fishing big fish and earning good money which will help them cater for their daily livelihood, building permanent houses and paying school fees for their children.

After a period of One year the local got a positive results on lake fish population which had increase and the big fish were easily harvested after been given with the correct and legal fishing gears and they see the benefit because they earning a good money and cater for their needs.
