Environmental Degradation and afforestation
The impact of man or activities man on our environment through poor practice of environmental management such as solid waste and water waste management has seriously affect the green through blockage of water channel or drainage and these most time led to surface runoff and flood, and it causes pollution and it exposes the health of the communities and its people. more so, the rigorous exposure of the land through desertification, the cutting down of tress in our environment (Afforestation) uses as firewood to cook as man activities, bring fossil which eventually trapped at the greenhouse returned as heat to the earth, majorly cause seriously environmental degradation and exposes the underground water and getting dried and these leading to scarcity of water supply in our rivers and even the earth surface. A typical example is Northeast Nigeria which is known as the arid area of the country where there is scarcity of water through poor practice of man activities on our environment and this led to drought and affect the search of water supply, and exposed the life of the youth and women travelling long distance in search of water by travelling long distance over a kilometer in most cases and leave female child out of school, sometime also fetching firewood for cooking and livelihood due to poor technology and unavailability of smart energy and which amounted to gender disparity . Summary and solution are the evolvement of everyone to conscious of his/her environment by involving climate adaptability and resilience through good practice.
