Climate change impact on khejri (Prosopis cineraria)in Rajasthan.

Kejri scientifically known as a prosopis cineraria is a keystone trees species of the Thar desert and its crucial for Rajasthan ecology, agriculture and the rural livelihoods. However changing climate pattern are increasingly increasingly affecting its growth survival and ecological function. Rising temperature, decrease rainfall, frequent drought and increase pest attacks are causing reduced survival and productivity of khejri.
