Climate Change Impact : Drought
Baidoa, Somalia, located in Southwest state of Somalia, an agricultural hub in Somalia faces severe climate change induced drought affecting the population. The prolonged droughts are due to irregular rainfall patterns witnessed over the last 3+ years leading to loss of livelihoods and pushing families into desperate situations within crowded camps where they struggle for basic water, food, and healthcare, exacerbated by conflict and funding gaps.

Livelihood diversification - many families in Baidoa have opted to do small scale business to cushion the impact of drought and diversify their sources of livelihoods.

Community sharing and social networks - strong connection among the community has been strong source of support for those communities heavily impacted by the severe drought.
